- The Impairment Tables are used by Services Australia to assess functional impact of a condition; a minimum of 20 points is required.
- Work capacity is assessed by a Job Capacity Assessment (JCA) or Employment Services Assessment (ESAt).
- The 10-year residency rule has exceptions for refugees, humanitarian entrants, and certain visa holders.
- Assets include financial investments, vehicles, and property (excluding the primary home). Superannuation below Age Pension age is generally excluded.
