Given a dilution ratio of D : W (detergent parts : water parts) and a desired total volume V:
- Total Parts = D + W
- Detergent Volume = (D / (D + W)) × V
- Water Volume = (W / (D + W)) × V
- Concentration (%) = (D / (D + W)) × 100
Example — 1:32 ratio, 1 litre total: Detergent = (1/33) × 1 L ≈ 0.0303 L (30.3 mL) Water = (32/33) × 1 L ≈ 0.9697 L (969.7 mL)
